Kahu Waiwai Sportfishing and Private Charters prides itself on offering access to ocean activities that many visitors envision when planning their tropical vacation to our beautiful Island home.  We specialize in Big Game Sportfishing, pursuing the pelagic fish that travel through the waters around the Hawaiian Islands. These fish include Mahi- Mahi (Dorado), Ono (Wahoo), Aku (Skipjack tuna), Ahi (Yellowfin tuna), Sailfish, Spearfish, Striped Marlin, and the biggest and baddest fish in the Ocean, the Pacific Blue Marlin.  We welcome beginning anglers through experienced tournament experts. 

Throughout the course of the day on a sportfishing charter, our guests very often get a glimpse of what this incredible Pacific Ocean has to offer. Various species of Dolphin will swim along side the boat and perform acrobatic displays. Huge Sea Turtles are a common sight.  During Whale season we have sightings as soon as we leave the marina.   The many different seabirds are welcomed partners that fly with amazing grace and beauty.  These seabirds are our fishfinders here in Hawaii. The experienced eye will most often be able to tell what kind of fish are in the area based on the type of bird that is in the air and how that bird is acting.

In addition to Big Game Sportfishing, we offer the services of ourselves and the boat to anything one can imagine; Private Sunset Cruises, an intimate Dinner Cruise, Private Dive Charters with a hot shower on board for right after the dive.  Boat Parties anchored off Waikiki followed by the evening fireworks display on Holidays and Friday nights.  The Kahu Waiwai is also experienced in performing Ash Spreading Ceremonies, and we work closely with Pastors in the area to perform this service.
